Innovative Non-Chemical Weed Control

Founded in October 2023 by Enock Kasepa, a CeMAP qualified, FCA Governed Mortgage Broker and Senior Private Clients Financial Consultant with 10 years experience in Financial Services noticed the rapid rise in cases of Japanese Knotweed affecting respective work environments and was a consistently growing issue especially in certain areas of London.

At the time the upcoming blanket ban on Glyphosate which was scheduled for late 2024 meant no reliable treatment for a growing issue would be available for local constituencies and businesses where the increase in cases of the weeds were affecting property prices, mortgage offers and property sales.

After dedicated R&D, the logical solution was using an innovative, Electricity based method which would be eco-friendly but effective simultaneously. Kilowatt Weeding was born as the resolution to this growing problem that would soon become increasingly serious after the ban on Glyphosate based herbicides, which has traditionally been relatively the cheapest and a fairly effective treatment for JKW bar the fact it can be horrendous for local, surrounding wildlife and foliage that are not intended to be harmed or eradicated.

Headquartered in Central London, with dispatch centres in Greenwich, SE London, Slough in Berkshire just SW of the Greater London border and plans to acquire an additional two dispatch centres for greater convenience to service North London and beyond, improving logistics and house additional equipment with growing demands. This also allows us to expand the range of services offered.

Kilowatt Weeding pioneers non-chemical invasive species control specialising in Japanese Knotweed and Giant Hogweed which is another menace especially to public health during the summer months capable of causing serious burns upon contact.

We combine electrical treatment with engineering solutions such as vectoring the electrical current in fractions of a millisecond pulses which maximise efficiency and effectiveness whilst monitoring/safeguarding technologies like the use of subterranean LiDAR boost treatment efficiency whilst safeguarding the environment and potentially serious or dangerous implications of treating the rhizomes (plant roots) underground, for example; cables, plumbing, telecommunications, structural and electrical infrastructure.
